ITIN Preparation

Talk directly to your accountant team

The IRS issues the ITIN number to certain individuals, both residents and nonresidents, who need an identification number for tax purposes but do not possess or are ineligible for a Social Security Number. Fortunately, handling ITIN matters is one of our specialties.

Here’s the process:

  • Complete the ITIN application form when you are ready to file your federal income tax return, as the return needs to be attached to your application.
  • If you qualify for an exception to the tax filing requirement, ensure that you submit the ITIN application form along with supporting documents proving your identity, foreign status, and eligibility for the exception.
  • ITIN applications can be submitted throughout the year. However, if the tax return attached to the ITIN application form is filed after the return’s due date, penalties may apply. Therefore, it’s crucial to file your current year’s return within the prescribed deadline.

Navigating the complexities of finance with expertise, ensuring your success is not just a goal, but a certainty.
